Lüder Gerken is Chairman of the Foundation Board of the Centrum für Europäische Politik, Chairman of the Foundation Board Stiftung Ordnungspolitik, Chairman and Member of the Board of Trustees of the Friedrich-August-von-Hayek-Stiftung.

After studying economics and law (Dr. rer. pol.; First State Examination in Law, Graduate Economist) Gerken led the Walter-Eucken-Institut in Freiburg im Breisgau from 1991 to 2001. He was awarded his professorship from the University of Bayreuth. He has been Chairman of the Stiftung Ordnungspolitik and Chairman and Member of the Board of Trustees of the Friedrich-August-von-Hayek-Stiftung since 1999. From 2001 to 2004, Gerken was Chairman of the Stiftung Marktwirtschaft in Berlin. He has been Chairman of the Centrum für Europäische Politik since 2005. 

Christoph Ehlers is deputy chairman of the Board of the Stiftung Ordnungspolitik.

After completing his studies in law and business studies in Constance and San Diego, Ehlers held several senior positions with the Commerzbank AG between 1983 and 1997. He is a qualified lawyer admitted to the German bar and since 1997 he operates as a business angel for the development of technology start-ups.
