Mid-Term Review of the Capital Markets Union

The EU Commission published a interim balance of its efforts to establish a Capital Markets Union by 2019.

In the remaining two years the Commission wants to make progress, inter alia, by establishing a Pan-European Personal Pension Product (Proposal in June 2017), by reviewing the architecture of the European financial markets supervisory framework (Proposal in Q3 2017, s. cepInput), by establishing a regulatory framework for Covered Bonds (Proposal in Q1 2018) and by promoting sustainable investments.
