"Everyone in Greece has understood that there have to be reforms"

German Deputy Finance Minister Jens Spahn tells Bloomberg Television that the next Greek government has to push ahead with overhauling the economy

German Deputy Finance Minister Jens Spahn told Bloomberg Television, that Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has the chance to be “a very strong leader for reforms” if he wins re-election this month. The next Greek government has to push ahead with overhauling the economy, Spahn stressed. “After three weeks of closed banks in Greece, everyone has understood that there have to be reforms if Greece wants to stay in the eurozone,” he said in the television interview. The cep has argued for a long time already that Greece can only overcome its crisis by undertaking structural reforms to make its economy competitive again.
