EU and Russia to meet over gas row on September 11

The EU Commission is trying to restart gas talks between Russia and Ukraine, Politico reported. A bilateral meeting between the Commission and the Russian side is scheduled for September 11, the news site cited a Commission official. EU Energy Commissioner Miguel Arias Cañete said the Commission had sent the Russian and Ukrainian ministers a paper summarizing the points that still need agreement.
