Cameron wants to present his EU reform demands in early November

British Prime Minister David Cameron told EU leaders in Brussels on Thursday that he would present his EU reform demands in a letter to European Council President Donald Tusk in early November, Politico cited a Cameron spokesperson. The Sun reported recently that Cameron was told by senior ministers in his government to delay the referendum on Britain’s EU membership until the second half of 2017 so he can claw more powers back from Brussels.

Meanwhile, Reuters cited the European People Party’s (EPP) leader Joseph Daul on Thursday as saying: “We want Britain to remain in the European Union, but we cannot accept it at any price. That's very clear.” The cep believes that Cameron will not be able to push through major reform changes in his negotiations with the leaders of the other EU member states.
