Background – Stiftung Ordnungspolitik
CEP is the euro-political Think Tank of the Stiftung Ordnungspolitik (SOP). The foundation strives to maintain and further develop the ordo-liberal tradition of the Freiburger Schule. This scientific approach founded by Walter Eucken has been substantially furthered by Friedrich August von Hayek and put into political practice by Ludwig Erhard, the minister for economic affairs during the German “Wirtschaftswunder” (economic miracle – post war Germany).
The foundation drafts practical policy options on the basis of the continued academic development of ordo-economics and promotes public awareness for the meaning of ordo-liberal thinking.
The CEP is fulfilling these tasks with regard to all matters of European policy making.
