EU and Greece hope for agreement on Monday

cep expert Kullas says it is not surprising that the Greeks are delaying an agreement literally until the last minute

EU's Moscovici is rather upbeat on chances for deal

First tentative signs of a possible compromise in the debt row between Greece and its eurozone partners are emerging. EU Economics Commissioner Pierre Moscovici said on Friday he hoped that a deal could be reached at Monday’s Eurogroup meeting. A Greek government spokesman stressed meanwhile that "we will do whatever we can so that a deal is found on Monday." cep expert Matthias Kullas told the news agency AFP it was not surprising that the Greeks were delaying an agreement literally until the last minute. “The Greeks could speculate that their bargaining position might have improved by then,” Kullas reasoned.
