CO2 Emissions from Light Commercial Vehicles 

With the Regulation the Commission aims to determine CO2 threshold values for light commercial vehicles. This mainly affects manufacturers of light commercial vehicles, their suppliers and all buyers of light commercial vehicles.

The binding CO2 emissions threshold values prescribed for light commercial vehicles are neither effective nor target-oriented in view of the overall climate protection aim. Only the inclusion of road traffic in emissions trading ensures that the politically desired CO2 reduction values are achieved reliably and efficiently.
