Climate Protection
Member States of the European Union have undertaken to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions by 20% compared to 1990 and to increase their share of renewable energies up to 20%. Numerous EU actions in different policy fields serve to achieve these ambitious climate protection goals. They range from emissions trading to (EU-ETS) to capping CO2 emissions for cars, or to an increased promotion of renewable energies.
