European Judicial Area

The action plan is intended to implement the objectives laid down in the Stockholm Programme. It cites 354 measures and a precise timetable for this purpose.

The creation of a European judicial area is appropriate, as life in the EU, both private and economic, is increasingly conducted at cross-border level. The Commission, however, fails to provide explanations regarding how and why it wishes to alter the legal instruments affected in the case of proposed changes in the law.
